The ATP Delhi Open 2026 , part of the ATP Challenger 75 circuit at the DLTA Complex in New Delhi, witnessed dramatic tennis action on Thursday, highlighted by an Indian exit in singles and a strong showing in the doubles draw.

India’s top men’s singles player Sumit Nagal bowed out of the tournament after a tough second‑round contest against Italy’s Federico Cina . Cina, the sixth seed, produced a solid performance to defeat Nagal 6‑4, 6‑4 in just over an hour and a half, ending India’s hopes in the singles draw.

The Italian broke early in the first set and then held firm in crucial moments, closing out the match despite Nagal’s spirited fight to save several match points in the second set.

While the singles campaign for the local favourite came to an end, Indian fans had reason to cheer in the doubles event. The tournament’s top‑seeded pair, Siddhant Banthia (IND) and Alexander Donski (BUL) , displayed dominant form to advance to the men’s doubles quarterfinals with a straight‑sets victory.

Thursday’s action also saw several top seeds in the singles draw advance to the later stages of the competition, with players such as Rei Sakamoto , Jay Clarke , and Oliver Crawford moving closer to the quarterfinals.

The tournament continues through 22 February , with both singles and doubles matches scheduled as players vie for valuable ranking points and prize money in this prestigious ATP Challenger event.
