Sujeeth reveals dark comedy twist in Bloody Romeo

After delivering one of the most anticipated films of the year, “ They Call Him OG” , which continues its theatrical run, director Sujeeth has shared fresh insights about his next film, Bloody Romeo . The project, starring Nani, was announced earlier, but the director has now opened up about its genre and storytelling style.

Unlike his signature intense action-driven films, Sujeeth revealed that Bloody Romeo will be a gangster narrative infused with dark comedy. “All my films so far have carried gangster and serious elements, but this one will also add those elements of fun that I’ve missed making,” he said.

The script for Bloody Romeo was completed in February 2024, with pre-production wrapped up soon after. Shooting is expected to begin once Nani completes his ongoing film The Paradise , with a single extensive schedule planned in Europe.

Early concept visuals hint at chaotic street chases and gritty sequences, promising a refreshing blend of crime and comedy. The film is slated for a 2026 release, aligning with another big project from Nani.
