Suhas comedy retitled Hey Balwanth days before release
A last-minute title change cleared by India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given a fresh promotional boost to an upcoming Telugu entertainer, with the makers unveiling new posters carrying the tagline “Unlimited Laughs Guaranteed.”
The film, which was earlier titled Hey Bhagawan, now goes ahead under its revised name, featuring Suhas, Shivani Nagaram and Sudarshan prominently in the updated publicity material as per CBFC’s guidelines. Directed by Gopi Atchara, the movie blends comedy with family emotions, centring on a son who forges a deeper bond with his father through an unconventional business idea.
The cast also includes seasoned actors such as Naresh and Vennela Kishore, while the music is composed by Vivek Sagar, whose songs have already generated strong buzz online. Fans on social media are counting down to the February 20 release, praising the teasers and tracks for their light-hearted tone and relatable humour.
Notably, Suhas and Shivani Nagaram reunite on screen after their earlier collaboration in Ambajipeta Marriage Band, a pairing that audiences had warmly received. Industry watchers say this familiarity could work in the film’s favour, especially among younger viewers.
However, the title change has also sparked conversation about a growing trend in smaller Telugu films revisiting names close to release. Some fans pointed to recent examples like Vanara being retitled as VanaVeera, noting that such tweaks, while minor, often aim to improve recall and market appeal.
With humour-driven content and a family-centric storyline, the film now heads into its final promotional stretch, hoping the refreshed identity and positive pre-release buzz will translate into a strong opening at the box office.
