Sub-Registrar Offices to Operate Extended Hours Amid Surge in Registrations
The state government’s decision to rationalise land market values in line with real prices has triggered a sharp surge in property registrations across Andhra Pradesh. With demand rising significantly, the government has moved swiftly to ensure that citizens do not face inconvenience during the registration process.
To manage the increased rush, Revenue, Housing, Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that working hours in all Sub-Registrar offices across the state will be extended. From May 29 to June 3, these offices will remain open from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
The minister instructed officials to make all necessary arrangements to prevent long waiting hours for people visiting registration offices. He stressed that improving citizen services remains the government’s top priority, and that efficiency , transparency , and convenience must be ensured in every stage of the registration process.
Officials have also been directed to increase the number of available slots for registrations in response to growing public demand. The government has indicated its readiness to further extend working hours or even increase the number of working days if required, should the demand continue to rise.
Authorities across departments have been asked to coordinate closely to ensure that citizens can complete their registration work smoothly without hardship .
