Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called on the youth to question every idea critically and base their beliefs on logic rather than blind faith, stressing that such thinking is vital for the progress of society. He delivered this message as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Mega Cultural Fest , held on Wednesday as part of Andhra University’s (AU) centenary celebrations.

Addressing the students, Pawan Kalyan warned against making decisions driven by emotions or blindly following any ideology, whether it be Karl Marx or even his own teachings. He emphasized that principles must align with constitutional values and protect national unity, cautioning that any ideology favoring one group or caste while undermining others is morally unacceptable.

Highlighting AU’s emblem as more than an academic logo, he said it symbolizes the wealth of knowledge and Indian cultural heritage, with the rising sun, 64 lotus petals, and the ocean representing enlightenment and wisdom. He lauded the contributions of visionaries like Kattamanchi Ramalingareddy , Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan , and Sir C.V. Raman achieved global recognition for the university, and recalled his friend, filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas , earning a master’s in nuclear physics at AU.

Calling education the most powerful tool to transform the world, Pawan Kalyan urged students to aspire beyond jobs, aim to be leaders, and actively contribute to national and state development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu . He concluded passionately, pledging to work for the welfare of future generations until his last breath.
