Student Health and Facilities Top Priority in Residential Schools: District Collectors

During the “Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika” welfare week, district collectors in Peddapalli and Mancherial conducted inspections of residential schools, focusing on improving student welfare, hygiene, and infrastructure.

Peddapalli Collector Koya Sri Harsha visited the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC Welfare Residential School and Junior College , directing officials to maintain strict cleanliness across all facilities and resolve drainage issues promptly. He stressed the importance of providing quality meals as per diet guidelines and ensuring immediate medical attention for students when needed, with added care for younger children. He also honoured top performers of the 2026 Intermediate examinations .

In Mancherial, Collector Kumar Deepak inspected the Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School in Rajiv Nagar, reviewing ongoing infrastructure works, including additional classrooms. He emphasized the timely supply of nutritious food and evaluated support measures for students who did not clear the Intermediate exams, along with hostel conditions.

The Collector also instructed officials to speed up construction of a government hospital being built at a cost of ₹129.25 crore and a ₹23.75 crore Critical Care Unit , while maintaining quality standards.

These inspections highlight the government’s commitment to strengthening educational institutions and ensuring better facilities for students.
