The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has invited bids for the co-ownership of Srinagar Ke Veer , the franchise owned by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar , opening the door for corporates, investors and sports-focused entities to partner with one of the league’s most consistent teams.

According to the league, the co-ownership opportunity involves the sale of a minority equity stake, with the exact percentage on offer, reserve price and valuation benchmarks to be detailed in the official bid document issued to interested parties. ISPL officials indicated that the structure has been designed to ensure operational continuity while allowing new partners to participate in long-term franchise value creation.

Eligibility criteria for bidders include Indian and overseas corporates, investment groups, family offices and high-net-worth individuals, subject to compliance with ISPL’s governance norms, financial capability requirements and background checks. Shortlisted bidders will be evaluated on financial strength, strategic value addition and alignment with the league’s growth vision.

While the league has not disclosed individual franchise valuations, ISPL sources said revenues are generated through a centralised revenue-sharing model , including sponsorships, media rights, merchandising and league partnerships, along with team-level commercial opportunities . The Srinagar franchise’s strong on-field record is seen as a key factor in enhancing its commercial appeal.

Srinagar Ke Veer has been among ISPL’s standout teams, reaching the semi-finals in Season 1 and finishing runners-up in Season 2. The franchise is now looking to expand its regional footprint , deepen fan engagement in Jammu and Kashmir and the northern belt, and strengthen digital and grassroots outreach as part of its market strategy.

The ISPL is governed by a core committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar , Ashish Shelar , Minal Amol Kale and Suraj Samat , who also serves as league commissioner. The league has attracted wide attention due to its street-cricket format and celebrity ownership, with teams co-owned by Amitabh Bachchan , Salman Khan , Ajay Devgn , Sourav Ganguly , Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan , Hrithik Roshan , Suriya and Ram Charan .

Commenting on the development, Suraj Samat said ISPL has evolved into a scalable sports property with growing viewership, expanding participation and a professionally governed structure. He added that co-ownership allows partners to contribute beyond capital, including brand-building, fan engagement and ecosystem development.

League officials said ISPL’s last season recorded strong television and digital viewership , with steady growth across urban and semi-urban markets. The upcoming season is scheduled later this year, with dates to be announced shortly, and preparations are already underway.

The bid timeline includes submission of expressions of interest, issuance of detailed bid documents, evaluation by the league committee and final approval. The ISPL said the announcement of the successful co-owner will follow shortly after the bid closure.

Bids for the co-ownership of Srinagar Ke Veer will close on January 31 .
