Statewide ‘Praja Darbar’: Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy

State Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Saturday announced that ‘Praja Darbar’ programmes are being conducted across the state to ensure transparent and time-bound resolution of public grievances at the grassroots level . He participated in a Praja Darbar held in the Rayigudem cluster of Palair Assembly constituency as part of the ‘Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika’ initiative.

The Minister interacted directly with residents from several gram panchayats, including Rayigudem, Ajay Thanda, Cheruvumadaram, Mangapuram Thanda, and Buddaram . Speaking on the occasion, he said the primary objective of Praja Darbars is to effectively resolve people’s issues and strengthen public trust in the government , in line with the vision of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy . He added that the Palair constituency has been selected as a model for the programme, which will soon be expanded statewide.

He noted that issues related to drinking water, electricity, and Dharani land records are being addressed through these platforms. “Political parties are active only until elections; thereafter, resolving people’s problems is the primary responsibility,” he said, assuring that every eligible complaint will be addressed . While some issues can be resolved immediately, others may take from one week to three months , he added.

The Minister observed that in the past, people lacked proper platforms to voice their concerns, whereas now officials are directly reaching out to the public . Dedicated spaces have been arranged in each gram panchayat where officials are reviewing complaints. Issues that can be resolved immediately are being addressed on the spot, while others are being recorded for further action.

He further stated that special review meetings with Collectors and public representatives will be held across the state from April 27 . Emphasising key focus areas, he assured that matters related to the Indiramma housing scheme and land issues will be resolved swiftly and transparently .

Senior district officials, representatives of various departments, and public representatives participated in the programme and received petitions from the public.
