State-Level Advocates’ Badminton Tournament Set for October 3 and 4 in Vijayawada

Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy has been invited to attend the State-Level Advocates’ Shuttle Badminton Tournament - 2026, scheduled to be held in Vijayawada next month.

A delegation from the Bezawada Bar Association met the minister at his camp office in Tadepalli on Wednesday and formally extended the invitation. The representatives also briefed him on the preparations being made for the state-level sporting event.

The tournament will be conducted on October 3 and 4 at the Chennupati Ramakotaiah Municipal Corporation Indoor Stadium in Vijayawada. Advocates from different parts of Andhra Pradesh are expected to take part in the competition.

According to the organisers, the event is aimed at promoting sports and fitness among members of the legal fraternity while also creating an opportunity for advocates from across the state to interact and strengthen professional camaraderie.

The delegation discussed the arrangements being made for the tournament, including the conduct of the matches and facilities for participating players. They requested Ramprasad Reddy to attend the event and encourage the advocates competing in the tournament.

Those present during the meeting included Bar Council member Chalasani Ajay Babu, Bezawada Bar Association General Secretary V. Kiran, EC member T. Kiran, Sports Secretary G. Ram Teja, and organiser Raisa, among others.
