SSC Opens edit window for modifications in JE and SI applications 2025

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that candidates appearing for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) Examination 2025 (Paper-I) and the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination 2025 (Paper-I) can now edit or change their previously selected exam city and date.

According to the commission, candidates can access the self-slot selection facility by logging into the SSC candidate portal. The edit window will remain open from November 10 to 13, 2025 for the Junior Engineer exam and from November 17 to 21, 2025 for the Sub-Inspector exam.

The application process for the JE exam was conducted from June 30 to July 21, 2025, while for the SI exam, applications were accepted from September 26 to October 16, 2025. The JE Paper-I, earlier scheduled for October 27–31, 2025, has been postponed and is now expected to be held in December 2025. The SI Paper-I is also likely to be conducted during November–December 2025.

SSC has stated that once a candidate edits and submits their slot, it will be treated as final. Those who fail to make changes within the given window will be allotted a slot automatically based on availability.
