SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi Set For Global Debut At CCXP Mexico 2026 With Exclusive Footage

S. S. Rajamouli is gearing up to unveil his next cinematic spectacle to a global audience well before its theatrical release. The filmmaker’s much-anticipated epic Varanasi , starring Mahesh Babu, will make its official international debut at CCXP Mexico 2026 , one of Latin America’s largest pop culture conventions.

CCXP, short for Comic Con Experience, is a major international event celebrating films, television, comics, gaming and pop culture. Originally launched in Brazil, the convention has become a global platform where studios and creators reveal exclusive footage, trailers and major announcements to thousands of fans.

The makers have confirmed that the film will be showcased on April 24 at the prestigious Thunder Stage , among the convention’s most prominent venues. The presentation, titled “Varanasi to the World,” promises an early glimpse into the film’s expansive universe along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage created exclusively for the event.

Producer SS Karthikeya will attend the convention in person and present the material to fans, while Rajamouli will address the audience through a specially recorded video message , offering insights into the film’s vision and scale.

The film stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in key roles. Designed as a grand cinematic spectacle, the project is also being planned for IMAX screenings , emphasising immersive large-format storytelling.

Regarded as one of the most ambitious Indian films currently in production, the adventure epic is scheduled for an April 7, 2027 worldwide release , with the CCXP appearance marking an early international push to introduce the project to global audiences.
