
Srinivasan, husband of IOA chief P T Usha, passes away
V Srinivasan , the husband of Indian Olympic Association President P T Usha and Rajya Sabha MP, passed away in the early hours of Friday. He was 67.
According to family sources, Srinivasan collapsed at his residence early in the morning. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to revive him.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to P T Usha and conveyed his condolences over the loss of her husband, officials said.
A former central government employee, Srinivasan remained largely away from the public eye but was known to be a constant and quiet presence in Usha’s life. Over the decades, he stood firmly by her side through her celebrated sporting career and later during her journey in public life. Those close to the family often described him as her strongest pillar of support and a key influence behind many of her professional milestones.The couple have a son, Ujjwal .
Tributes and messages of condolence have been pouring in from across sporting and public circles, remembering Srinivasan for his steadfast support and dignified life away from the spotlight.
