Sreeleela Joins Rajinikanth's 'Dharman', Marks First On-Screen Collaboration
Telugu actress Sreeleela has officially joined the cast of superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Dharman', marking her first on-screen collaboration with the veteran actor. The production house announced her inclusion on November 4, welcoming her through a promotional video describing her as someone with a spark and energy.
Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the film is produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International in association with Turmeric Media. Rajinikanth reportedly plays a doctor who takes on criminal elements, with his character referred to as 'Ketta Paiyan'. The title poster depicts the actor inside an operation theatre holding a surgical instrument, hinting at an action-packed storyline with grey shades.
The film features an ensemble cast comprising Simran, Raashii Khanna, Nayanthara, Ram Pothineni and Yogi Babu, alongside Sreeleela. Although details about her character remain undisclosed, reports have speculated about a possible pairing with Ram Pothineni. However, the makers have not confirmed this information.
Sreeleela, who made her Tamil debut with 'Parasakthi', is expanding her presence in the Tamil film industry. She is also associated with upcoming projects such as Dhanush's 'Om' and Ajith Kumar's 'Daredevil'.
The production has completed three shooting schedules, with the third wrapping up on September 30, 2026. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, while Niketh Bommi handles cinematography. The technical team also includes stunt choreographers Anbariv, editor Pradeep E Ragav and production designer Karthik Rajkumar.
Meanwhile, the film's theatrical release date remains unconfirmed. Although an earlier plan indicated a Sankranthi 2027 release, subsequent reports have suggested April 2027 as another possibility. The makers are yet to announce the final release schedule.
