Sreeleela Joins Rajinikanth’s ‘Dharman’, Marks First Collaboration With Superstar

Actor Sreeleela has added another major project to her growing Tamil film lineup. The actress has officially joined the cast of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Dharman’, with the makers announcing her inclusion on Wednesday (November 4). The film is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, known for ‘Oh My Kadavule’ and ‘Dragon’.

Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International welcomed Sreeleela through a special announcement shared on social media. “She's got the spark, she's got the pataka. Welcoming the gorgeous @sreeleela14 to DHARMAN,” the production house wrote. The announcement marks Sreeleela’s first collaboration with Rajinikanth. However, details about her character have not yet been revealed.

The film also features Nayanthara, Simran, Raashi Khanna and Yogi Babu in important roles. Rajinikanth is reportedly playing a doctor with grey shades in this action entertainer. Earlier promotional posters showed the superstar holding a bloodied surgical instrument, while the makers teased his character with the phrase 'Ketta Paiyan', meaning bad guy.

‘Dharman’ also marks the first collaboration between Rajinikanth and director Ashwath Marimuthu. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International, in association with R Mahendran’s Turmeric Media. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, while Niketh Bommi handles cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav takes care of editing and action choreography is by Anbariv.

The film has completed its third shooting schedule and is reportedly approaching the final stages of production. Although the makers are yet to announce an official release date, reports suggest an April 2027 theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Sreeleela continues to expand her presence across industries. She will next appear in ‘Om Chapter 1: Udhiram’, alongside Dhanush, Mammootty and Sai Pallavi, followed by Ajith Kumar’s ‘Dare Devil’. She is also making her Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in an untitled romantic musical directed by Anurag Basu, scheduled to release on April 30, 2027.
