Speed Up Medaram Development Works: Ministers Direct

State Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Seethakka have directed officials to expedite development works at the renowned Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma tribal shrine in Mulugu district, ensuring both speed and quality . On Sunday, the ministers, along with local MLAs, visited Medaram, offered special prayers , and later held a review meeting on development works at the Haritha Hotel.

Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy instructed officials to develop the temple premises into a grand space for devotees . He emphasised completing the ongoing reconstruction works within the stipulated timeline. Officials were told to ensure uniform flooring , avoid gaps in stone structures , and complete the main entrance gates as per the master plan. He also directed that a proper drainage system be established by linking it to the main road drainage to prevent water stagnation. Plantation along both sides of the roads was also suggested to enhance greenery .

As part of future development, the minister instructed District Collector Divakar to accelerate land acquisition for Phase-2 works and prepare development plans for the Mallur Hemachala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple .

Responding to a recent accident involving a local priest’s family, Minister Ponguleti stated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had expressed deep concern. He assured that the entire medical expenses of the injured boy would be borne by the government, including provision of a modern artificial limb , and promised full support to the family .

Later, the ministers inaugurated an ‘Indiramma House’ belonging to Aavula Lakshmi and Raju in Narlapur village. The programme was attended by SP Sudheer Ramnath Kekan , ASP Manan Bhatt , MLAs, and other public representatives. Minister Seethakka also asked officials to prepare proposals to increase staff strength to provide better services to devotees.
