The exhibition has been organised jointly by the India Handmade Collective and the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty. Organisers said the initiative aims to bring artisans onto a common platform, address the challenges they face, and create wider market opportunities for handicrafts.
They stated that the exhibition is being held with the objective of connecting products made by rural artisans with urban markets, thereby improving their livelihoods. Organisers expressed hope that the initiative would promote traditional handicrafts and contribute to the economic empowerment of women in self-help groups.
Products crafted by artisans from various regions are attracting visitors at the exhibition. Organisers urged city residents and traders to make use of this opportunity and support handicrafts.
