Speaker Issues Notices to MLA Danam Nagender Hearing on 30th

The issue of party defections has once again become a major topic of discussion in Telangana politics . State Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar has issued notices to Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender , directing him to appear in person for a hearing on the defection petition on the 30th of this month .
Danam Nagender , who was elected on a BRS ticket , later joined the Congress party . Challenging this move, BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy filed a disqualification petition with the Speaker . Following earlier directions from the High Court , the Speaker has expedited the proceedings . A final decision will be taken based on the explanation submitted by Danam Nagender during the hearing .
