A software employee from Kerala was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with an air hostess on board a flight from Dubai to Hyderabad, police said. The incident occurred on Friday and came to light after the cabin crew filed a complaint with the RGI Airport police.

According to Inspector Kankaiah Samapathi, the accused, aged in his 30s, allegedly touched a female cabin crew member inappropriately while she was providing in-flight services. The crew reported that the passenger appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during the flight.

After landing, the man claimed he had misplaced his passport and requested staff to search his seat. During the search, the cabin crew found a note allegedly containing obscene and abusive remarks directed at the crew members, further aggravating the complaint.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered under Section 74 (assault or use of criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), Section 75 (sexual harassment), and other relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused was arrested and produced before a local court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

Police are continuing further investigation into the case.
