Smriti Mandhana Retains No. 1 Spot in ODI Rankings as Australian Stars Rise
India’s newly appointed captain Smriti Mandhana retained the top position in the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings with 790 rating points, while Australia’s Ellyse Perry returned to the top 10 following the latest rankings update released on Tuesday.
Mandhana, who recently succeeded Harmanpreet Kaur as India’s captain, continues to lead the ODI batting charts. South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and Australia’s Beth Mooney are among the leading contenders behind her, while Harmanpreet remains ninth, making her the only other Indian batter in the ODI top 10.
Australia’s impressive performances against Bangladesh have driven several ranking improvements. Australia secured a 2–0 lead in their three-match ODI series, which forms part of the ICC Women’s Championship. Perry climbed two places to reach 10th in the batting rankings, while Georgia Voll advanced eight places to 28th.
All-rounder Annabel Sutherland rose to fourth in the ODI bowling rankings after taking four wickets and scoring an unbeaten 25 in the opening match. Veteran fast bowler Megan Schutt moved up two places to fifth after claiming four wickets in the second ODI.
In the Women’s T20I batting rankings, India continued to maintain a strong presence. Shafali Verma ranked fourth with 759 points, followed by Mandhana in fifth with 754 points and Harmanpreet in 10th with 656 points.
India’s Shree Charani topped the Women’s T20I bowling rankings with 817 points, while Deepti Sharma occupied second place with 754 points. Deepti also ranked fourth among T20I all-rounders and sixth in the ODI all-rounders’ rankings.
India remained third in both the Women’s ODI and T20I team rankings, underlining the team’s continued competitiveness across both formats.
