Sivakarthikeyan To Focus On Mass Entertainers, Shares Updates On Seyon And SK27

Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan has revealed a change in his approach to film selection, saying he will focus on mass commercial entertainers that offer complete entertainment to audiences. The actor shared the update while interacting with fans in Chennai and also spoke about his upcoming projects Seyon and SK27.

Speaking about SK27, Sivakarthikeyan said his collaboration with Parking fame director Ramkumar Balakrishnan is shaping up as a “solid mass commercial entertainer.” The film has already gone on floors, with the team completing its opening fight sequence. SK27 marks the actor’s first collaboration with Ramkumar and is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead, while Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music.

The actor also provided a significant update on Seyon, revealing that around 60 per cent of the film has been completed. He said most of the shooting, including songs, has been completed, with some action portions still remaining. The film, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, is now expected to release during Pongal 2027, instead of its earlier October 2026 window.

Seyon is produced by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under Raaj Kamal Films International, with Raj B Shetty, Bhagyashri Borse, Seeman, Bala Saravanan, Arul Doss and Singampuli in important roles. The rural action drama combines mass elements with folklore and mythological undertones.

At the fan gathering, Sivakarthikeyan also called himself a “people-made star” and asked fans not to waste their energy responding to criticism. He urged them to focus on family, personal growth and positive activities, including developing a reading habit.

Both projects are being closely watched as Sivakarthikeyan moves towards a stronger commercial and mass-oriented phase in his career.
