
Singer Mangli lodges complaint at Panjagutta Police Station
Two mutual complaints involving popular singer Mangli have surfaced under the Panjagutta Police Station limits, creating a stir. While she has approached the police alleging harassment and extortion , a counter-complaint has been filed against her accusing her of a massive financial fraud .
Mangli submitted a written complaint to the Panjagutta police along with her legal counsel, stating that an advocate named Subbarao visited her office and demanded ₹10 lakh . She alleged that when she refused to pay, he used abusive language and threatened to defame her in the media . Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
Meanwhile, advocate Subbarao has filed a separate complaint at the same police station, alleging that Mangli cheated him of around ₹10 crore under the pretext of a microfinance scheme.
With conflicting allegations, one of harassment and the other of large-scale financial fraud the issue has become a topic of discussion in both political and film circles.
