Simplilearn partners with IndiaAI mission to boost AI literacy among 10 million citizens

Simplilearn has partnered with the IndiaAI Mission under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to roll out the national ‘YUVA AI for ALL’ foundational course, aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence literacy across the country. The initiative seeks to equip 10 million citizens with basic AI knowledge as part of India’s broader vision to build a digitally skilled and future-ready society.

Under the collaboration, Simplilearn will host and deliver the free course on its learning platform, making foundational AI education accessible to students, professionals and citizens from diverse age groups, regions and socio-economic backgrounds. The programme introduces learners to the basics of artificial intelligence, its real-world applications and its impact on everyday life, with a focus on demystifying emerging technologies for the wider public.

The initiative comes at a time when India has emerged as a leading adopter of artificial intelligence in the Asia-Pacific region, with a significant share of urban adults actively using generative AI tools. By expanding access to structured AI learning, the IndiaAI Mission aims to democratise technology education and strengthen the country’s digital economy.

Learners who complete the course will receive a co-branded certificate issued by IndiaAI under MeitY and Simplilearn. The programme combines Simplilearn’s digital education delivery capabilities with the government’s repository of AI and technology resources, creating a standardised framework for foundational AI learning at scale.

Officials associated with the initiative said the collaboration would help prepare India’s youth and workforce for a technology-driven future by building widespread awareness and essential skills in artificial intelligence. The partnership is being seen as a key step in strengthening India’s AI learning ecosystem and ensuring that emerging technologies are accessible to citizens nationwide.
