‘Silaa’: Harshvardhan Rane’s Love-and-Revenge Thriller to Hit Theatres in February 2027

Actor Harshvardhan Rane is set to explore a new side of his on-screen persona with ‘Silaa’, an upcoming romantic action thriller that blends love, revenge, mystery and survival. The film, set against the striking landscapes of Kashmir and Vietnam, will arrive in theatres on February 5, 2027, the makers announced on Friday.

Zee Studios unveiled the film’s first poster, offering audiences an early glimpse of the project directed by Omung Kumar, known for helming films such as ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarbjit’. The film also stars Sadia Khateeb, who gained recognition for her role in ‘The Diplomat’.

Rane plays Virat, a man driven by love whose life takes an unexpected turn, pulling him into a fight for survival. Combining romance with high-stakes action and mystery, the film promises an emotionally charged story about the lengths a person can go to protect someone who means everything to them.

For Rane, known for films such as ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, ‘Taish’, ‘Haseen Dillruba’ and ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’, ‘Silaa’ has been among the most challenging yet exciting experiences of his career. The actor said the film’s demanding action sequences, locations and emotional intensity tested him both physically and mentally.

He added that the story’s emotional core, beneath its action and adventure, was what drew him to the project. Rane expressed excitement about presenting a different side of himself to audiences on the big screen.

Kumar said the team aimed to bring romance, action, mystery and adventure together in an unpredictable narrative without losing its emotional depth. He praised Rane’s intensity and physicality, while noting that Khateeb brings strength and depth to her character.

Presented by Zee Studios, the film is produced by the studio alongside Omung Kumar, Himanshu Tiwari, Ajay Singh, Dhananjay Singh and Vanita Garud Kumar. Hemant Tiwari serves as co-producer.

With its mix of romance, action and an international setting, ‘Silaa’ is shaping up as a new cinematic outing for Rane as he takes on a character caught between love and the struggle to survive.
