Several schools in Shimla were evacuated on Monday after receiving a bomb threat email , causing panic among students, parents, and school authorities, police said.
According to officials, multiple schools received an email claiming that explosives had been planted on school premises and warning that the buildings would be blown up. The message immediately triggered alarm, prompting school administrations to act quickly and inform the police.
Following the alert, police teams, including bomb disposal squads , reached the affected schools and carried out thorough searches of classrooms, corridors, and surrounding areas. All schools were evacuated as a precautionary measure before the search operations began. Officials confirmed that no suspicious items or explosives were found during the inspection.
As the situation unfolded, parents rushed to school premises after being informed about the threat email.
