Sharwanand has taken fans by surprise with his rugged mass look in the first look poster of his upcoming pan-India period action drama Bhogi , directed by Sampath Nandi. Sporting wild curls, a thick beard, blood-smeared features, and a blazing stare, the actor appears in a never-before-seen avatar , instantly sparking massive buzz across social media and film circles.

Set in the late 1960s , Bhogi unfolds along the North Telangana–Maharashtra border , a region marked by rebellion, raw emotions, and violent conflicts. The backdrop provides a gritty canvas for a story rooted in survival, resistance, and power struggles. The striking visuals, earthy colour tones, and intense body language suggest a narrative driven by brutal action and intense drama , promising a gripping cinematic experience.

Marking Sharwanand’s first pan-India film , Bhogi is being mounted on a grand scale. Massive sets replicating rural landscapes have been erected in Hyderabad, where key portions, including high-octane action sequences , are currently being filmed. The film also stars Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead, with Dimple Hayathi in a pivotal role, supported by a strong technical team handling cinematography, music, and production design.

Director Sampath Nandi, known for his larger-than-life storytelling, appears to be crafting one of his most ambitious projects, blending period authenticity with mass appeal. The raw treatment, intense performances, and large-scale action aim to strike a chord with audiences across regions and languages.

Scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 28, 2026 , Bhogi is positioned as a pan-India period action drama that could redefine Sharwanand’s screen image and deliver a powerful, immersive theatre experience.
