Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘King’ to release in 2026

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to make a grand comeback to the big screen with his much-awaited action drama “King”, scheduled to hit theatres in 2026, the makers announced on Sunday.

The film will be directed by Siddharth Anand, known for his blockbuster action spectacles such as War and Pathaan . This marks Anand’s second collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan after the 2023 mega-hit Pathaan , which re-established SRK’s box-office dominance.

Jointly produced by Red Chillies Entertainment the home banner of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan and Marflix Pictures, King is touted to be a stylish, high-octane entertainer that will showcase the superstar in a never-seen-before avatar.

The announcement coincided with Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, accompanied by a title reveal video that unveiled the actor’s striking silver-haired look. The teaser offered glimpses of breathtaking action sequences, hinting at a slick, international-style production.

Often hailed as the “King of Bollywood”, Shah Rukh continues to reign over audiences worldwide with his unmatched charisma and versatility. After delivering consecutive hits like Pathaan , Jawan , and Dunki , the actor appears ready to push cinematic boundaries once again with King .
