Shah Rukh Khan Unleashes His Fierce Side in Fiery New 'KING' Poster

Shah Rukh Khan has intensified the buzz around his upcoming action thriller 'KING' by unveiling a striking new poster featuring a rugged, bloodied look, a red rose between his teeth and a handgun in his hand, set against a fiery backdrop.

The actor shared the poster on October 27 with the caption, “Aaj phir yaad aaya... Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon…” The nostalgic line recalls his 1999 film 'Badshah', adding a romantic undertone to the intense action-themed promotional image.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, 'KING' is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026. The film marks another collaboration between Anand and Shah Rukh Khan following their successful 2023 action blockbuster 'Pathaan'.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji and Anil Kapoor. Other reported cast members include Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma and Raghav Juyal. The project is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, with Gauri Khan and Siddharth Anand among those associated with its production.

The latest poster follows earlier promotional material, including a dialogue promo and teaser, building anticipation for the film. Its combination of romance, violence and a commanding screen presence has added to discussions among fans about Shah Rukh Khan's character and the film's action-oriented narrative.

'KING' is also heading into a competitive Christmas release window. The horror-comedy 'Shakti Shalini', reportedly scheduled for December 24, could target the same release date. Hollywood releases 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Dune: Part Three' are scheduled for December 18, while 'Jumanji: Open World' is slated for December 25.

With a major star cast, Siddharth Anand's action-film credentials and a holiday release date, 'KING' is positioning itself as one of the most anticipated Indian films of the year. However, the final box-office competition will depend on whether the announced release schedules remain unchanged.
