
Security Forces Nab OGW Umar Malik in Pulwama, Recover Grenades and Pistol
Security forces on Saturday arrested an alleged Overground Worker (OGW) linked to terrorist networks in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said.
The accused has been identified as Umar Malik , a resident of the Kachipora area. Acting on specific inputs, security personnel apprehended Malik and recovered a cache of arms and explosives from his possession.
According to officials, the seized items include a star pistol , two rounds of ammunition , a magazine , as well as one Chinese grenade and one Pakistani grenade . A mobile phone was also recovered, which is expected to aid investigators in tracing possible links and communication networks.
Authorities said a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to ascertain Malik’s role in facilitating terrorist activities and to identify any associates or handlers. More details are awaited as the probe progresses.
