SEBI announces Recruitment of 135 Officer Grade A Posts, Applications Open Until November 28, 2025

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has officially invited applications for 135 vacancies of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager). Eligible candidates can apply online through the official SEBI website, sebi.gov.in , until 28 November 2025. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen SEBI’s workforce across multiple streams including General, Legal, Information Technology, Research, Official Language, and Engineering disciplines.

The recruitment covers a diverse range of educational qualifications. For the General stream, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma of at least two years’ duration in any discipline, a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Bachelor’s in Engineering, or professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Chartered Financial Analyst, or Cost Accountant. The Legal stream requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, while the Information Technology stream mandates a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a post-graduate qualification in computer science, computer applications, or information technology. For the Research stream, a Master’s Degree or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related subjects is required. Candidates applying under the Official Language stream should have a Master’s Degree in Hindi, Sanskrit, or English with English/Hindi as a subject at the Bachelor’s level. Engineering streams specifically require Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical or Civil Engineering.

The maximum age limit for applicants is 30 years, with age relaxations as per government norms: three years for OBC candidates, five years for SC/ST, and ten years for persons with benchmark disabilities.

SEBI Officer Grade A posts offer an attractive pay scale of ₹62,500 to ₹1,26,100. The gross monthly emoluments in Mumbai at the minimum scale amount to approximately ₹1,84,000 without accommodation and ₹1,43,000 with accommodation. Phase I is an online screening examination scheduled for 10 January 2026, comprising two papers of 100 marks each, followed by Phase II, also an online examination with a similar structure, on 21 February 2026. Successful candidates will then be called for Phase III, a personal interview, with dates to be notified later. Interested applicants must complete the online application process between 30 October and 28 November 2025, ensuring they submit their forms before the deadline to be eligible for the examinations.

Candidates are required to apply exclusively online. The application process involves registering on the SEBI Careers portal, filling in personal and educational details, and completing the registration. Application fees are ₹1,000 plus 18% GST for Unreserved, OBC, and EWS candidates, and ₹100 plus 18% GST for SC/ST and PwBD candidates.
