
SBI invites applications for 103 Specialist cadre Officer posts
The State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest public sector bank, has announced recruitment for 103 Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO) positions, offering a significant opportunity for qualified professionals seeking a career in banking and financial services. According to the official notification, the recruitment aims to fill several senior and mid-level professional roles across departments, including Head (Product, Investment & Research), Zonal Head (Retail), Regional Head, Relationship Manager-Team Lead, Investment Specialist, Investment Officer, Project Development Manager (Business), and Central Research Team (Support). The total vacancies are distributed across these positions, offering diverse roles in investment management, retail leadership, and research domains.
Applicants must possess educational qualifications such as Graduation, Post-Graduation, CA, MBA/PGDM, PG Diploma in relevant fields from government-recognized universities or institutions. Depending on the post, professional certifications like CFA, CFP, NISM Investment Advisor, or Research Analyst Certificates will be preferred. The age limit varies between 25 and 50 years, based on the position applied for.
The remuneration for these positions is highly competitive, with the Cost to Company (CTC) ranging from approximately ₹20.6 lakh to ₹135 lakh per annum, depending on the post and experience level. For instance, the Head (Product, Investment & Research) position carries the highest CTC of ₹135 lakh per annum, while the entry-level post of Central Research Team (Support) offers a package up to ₹20.6 lakh per annum.
The application fee has been fixed at ₹750 for General, EWS, and OBC candidates, while candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from the fee. Payments can be made online using debit/credit cards or Internet banking.
The selection process will consist of shortlisting, interviews, and CTC negotiation rounds. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience. The interview will carry 100 marks, and the final merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of interview performance. In case of a tie in marks, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher in the merit list.
Eligible aspirants are advised to carefully fill out their applications online and ensure that their photograph and signature are uploaded as per specifications. Applicants will be allowed to edit their saved details up to three times before final submission. Upon successful registration, candidates should download and retain a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
