Minister Vivek Venkataswamy watched the theatrical presentation of ‘Sangham Saranam Gachhami’, which vividly portrayed the life, struggles and contributions of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. The programme was organised by Abhyudaya Arts Academy at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad. MP Mallu Ravi and Bellampalli MLA Gaddam Vinod also attended the event.

The production offered audiences a glimpse into the remarkable journey of Ambedkar, tracing his life from childhood and education to his personal experiences and historic role in shaping independent India. Through powerful performances, the artistes brought out the discrimination he faced because of his social background and the challenges he overcame in pursuing education and fighting for the rights of oppressed communities.

The play also highlighted Ambedkar's contribution to the framing of the Indian Constitution and his unwavering commitment to establishing a society based on equality, dignity and justice. By presenting different phases of his life on stage, the production sought to remind audiences that his legacy extends far beyond his role in securing constitutional safeguards for disadvantaged sections.

Speaking after watching the performance, Vivek Venkataswamy said Ambedkar's legacy should not be viewed merely through the lens of reservations. His contribution to society encompassed a much broader struggle for social justice, equal opportunities and the empowerment of marginalised communities, he said.

The minister observed that Ambedkar's ability to remain focused on his mission despite repeated humiliation, discrimination and numerous obstacles offered valuable lessons for younger generations. His determination, intellectual strength and commitment to social transformation continue to hold relevance in contemporary society.

Vivek Venkataswamy appreciated the organisers, performers and technical team of Abhyudaya Arts Academy for presenting Ambedkar's life in an engaging and meaningful manner. He stressed that the play should reach audiences beyond Hyderabad and be staged in different parts of Telangana to spread awareness about the ideals championed by the social reformer.
