Sanathnagar Dr MCR TIMS Set for Inauguration as Minister Reviews Arrangements

Preparations are in full swing for the inauguration of the Dr Marri Channa Reddy Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr MCR TIMS) at Sanathnagar in Hyderabad. The hospital is scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday, marking a significant development in Telangana’s public healthcare infrastructure.

Ahead of the inauguration, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha visited the hospital premises on Sunday and reviewed the arrangements. He later held a coordination meeting with senior officials from the Health Department, Police, GHMC, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Information and Public Relations Department and Traffic Police.

With the event expected to draw the Chief Minister, elected representatives, senior officials, doctors, media personnel and members of the public, the minister directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.

Officials briefed the minister on arrangements for the inauguration venue, entry and exit routes, parking facilities, traffic management, security, sanitation, drinking water and power supply. Rajanarsimha instructed the Traffic Police to put in place a detailed plan to prevent disruption to regular traffic and ensure smooth movement of vehicles.

Special arrangements are also being made for the movement of dignitaries and public representatives. The minister stressed that security arrangements should leave no room for lapses, calling for advance checks of entry and exit points, deployment of security personnel, crowd-management measures and emergency response mechanisms.

He also directed officials to maintain cleanliness in and around the hospital, ensure adequate drinking water and uninterrupted power supply throughout the event.

Rajanarsimha said the inauguration of Dr MCR TIMS would be an important milestone for Telangana’s healthcare sector and underlined the government’s focus on strengthening advanced public medical services.
