Samsung’s upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A57, is reported to be in development, with the device expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2026, possibly in March. The news follows the recent Bluetooth SIG certification of the unannounced Exynos 1680 chipset, which is expected to power the new device. The listing, spotted by tech analyst Mohammed Khatri, confirms the chipset’s model number as S6568 and indicates support for Bluetooth 6.1, suggesting an improvement over the Exynos 1580, which features Bluetooth 5.3.

While official specifications of the Exynos 1680 have not been revealed, leaks suggest that the chipset will incorporate an Xclipse 550 GPU, based on AMD’s architecture, marking a notable enhancement in graphics performance for mid-range devices. The Galaxy A57 has also been observed on Samsung’s test server and the IMEI database with the model number SM-A576B/DS, confirming the handset’s preparation for release.

The Galaxy A57 is expected to retain several features from its predecessor, the Galaxy A56, which was launched in India in March 2025 with a starting price of ₹41,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The A56 was equipped with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging. It also shipped with Android 15-based One UI 7 and an IP67-rated build, with six years of promised OS and security updates. The A57 is expected to offer similar or slightly upgraded specifications, with Android 16-based One UI 8 likely to be included.

In terms of pricing, the Galaxy A57 is expected to be priced around ₹42,000–₹45,000 in India, reflecting a slight increase over its predecessor. In the competitive mid-premium segment, the device is expected to face rivals such as the OnePlus 13R, iQOO Neo 10 Pro, Realme GT 7 series, Google Pixel 9a, Nothing Phone (3), and the Motorola Edge 60 Pro.

The Bluetooth SIG listing and multiple online sightings indicate that Samsung is actively preparing the Galaxy A57 for a Q1 2026 launch, highlighting the company’s focus on strengthening its mid-range portfolio with a new in-house chipset and improved connectivity features.
