Samsung Galaxy S26 Series set for February 2026 Launch with faster wireless charging
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to be launched globally on February 25, 2026, during the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, according to multiple reports. The upcoming flagship lineup is likely to include three models — the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Although Samsung has not officially confirmed any details, several leaks and industry sources have indicated major upgrades in charging speed and display dimensions.
According to a report by ETNews, a South Korean publication citing industry insiders, the new Galaxy S26 lineup will feature faster wireless charging than any of its previous Galaxy S series models. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is reported to support 25W wireless charging, while the Galaxy S26+ and the standard Galaxy S26 could support 20W wireless fast charging.
If these reports are accurate, this would be the first time in six years that Samsung has improved wireless charging speeds for its flagship smartphones. Since the launch of the Galaxy S20 series in 2020, every premium Galaxy S model, including this year’s Galaxy S25 lineup, has been limited to 15W wireless charging. The upcoming upgrade would therefore represent a significant improvement in charging performance.
In addition to wireless charging, the wired charging speeds are also expected to remain unchanged. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may continue to offer 45W wired fast charging, while the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 could feature 25W wired charging support.
Leaked information regarding the design and dimensions has also surfaced online. Well-known tipster Ice Universe has shared the likely measurements of the upcoming models on X (formerly Twitter). The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to measure 163.6 mm in height, 78.1 mm in width, and 7.9 mm in thickness, while the Galaxy S26+ could measure 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm, and the Galaxy S26 may be 149.4 x 71.5 x 6.9 mm in size. These leaked dimensions suggest that the standard Galaxy S26 could feature a slightly larger display compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to succeed the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which was launched in early 2025. The new series is anticipated to include improvements in display brightness, battery efficiency, and performance, along with enhanced AI-driven features under the Galaxy AI ecosystem. However, specific hardware details such as processor and camera configurations have not yet been confirmed.
As of November 2025, Samsung has not officially announced the prices of the upcoming Galaxy S26 series in India. However, based on historical pricing trends of previous Galaxy S models, the estimated prices are expected to be similar to the Galaxy S25 lineup. The Galaxy S26 could be priced between ₹65,000 and ₹70,000, the Galaxy S26+ around ₹85,000 to ₹90,000, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra in the range of ₹1,10,000 to ₹1,25,000, depending on storage variants and launch offers.
The official launch event is expected to take place globally, with India being among the early markets to receive the new series. The upcoming devices are anticipated to compete directly with other 2026 flagship smartphones, including Apple’s iPhone 17 series and Google’s Pixel 10 lineup.
Samsung has not released any formal statement confirming the launch date, specifications, or pricing of the Galaxy S26 series. However, based on the consistency of leaks from credible sources such as ETNews and Ice Universe, industry experts believe that the company is preparing for a first-quarter 2026 unveiling of its next-generation flagship smartphones.
