Rifle/Pistol C’ship: Samrat Rana wins again as India’s golden run continues in Cairo

India’s impressive campaign at the ISSF World Championship Rifle/Pistol in Cairo gained fresh momentum today after Samrat Rana clinched gold in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol individual event, marking his second gold of the tournament and reinforcing India’s commanding presence on the world stage.

Rana, who had earlier powered India to team gold in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol alongside Naib Subedar Varun Tomar and Gunner Sarvan (Sharvan) Kumar, delivered a composed and technically flawless final to secure his maiden individual World Championship title.

India’s medal surge began on the opening day, when Ravinder Singh struck gold in the Men’s 50m Pistol, setting the tone for a dominant campaign. With competitors from more than 70 countries and over 700 shooters participating, the Cairo championship remains one of the most prestigious tests of con sistency and composure in world shooting.
