
Sammakka–Saralamma Reconstruction: A Symbol of Tribal Dignity, Says Minister Seethakka
Minister Seethakka said that the formation of a people’s government is a rare and remarkable achievement. In a post on her X (formerly Twitter) account, she stated that the light of people’s governance is now shining brightly in the hearts of Adivasis , and that the flag of tribal pride is flying high . She added that this moment, which stands as yet another milestone in history, has set the stage for celebrations never seen before.
The minister said that the people’s government has fulfilled the promise made to the revered tribal deities Sammakka and Saralamma . She noted that after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy assumed office, the government had set a three-year target , which has now been successfully achieved.
With the completion of the reconstruction works related to the forest goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma, Seethakka emphasized that this initiative is not just another development programme. Instead, she described it as a powerful symbol of tribal culture, dignity, and self-respect .
She further said that the Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Maha Jatara is globally recognised as the world’s largest tribal festival . With the completion of temple reconstruction at this sacred site, the long-standing wish of lakhs of devotees has finally been fulfilled. She added that this programme reflects the people’s government’s respect, faith, and commitment towards the tribal community .
The minister said that people believe this historic moment will remain as a lasting testimony in history for the coming thousand years. She remarked that this is what true people’s governance looks like, and that the government has once again proven that it gives priority not just to words, but to meaningful action.
