SAMEER Invites Applications for 147 Technical & Engineering Positions,Apply by 25 Jan

The Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) , a leading RF and Microwave R&D laboratory under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India , has announced recruitment for 147 contractual positions across multiple projects. The recruitment drive covers posts of Project Engineer, Project Associate, Project Scientific Assistant, and Project Technical Assistant , aimed at strengthening research and development initiatives in electronics, RF & microwave, mechanical, electrical, civil, computer science, atmospheric sciences, and IT domains . The vacancies are distributed as follows: Project Engineer – 70 posts in Electronics/EXTC, RF & Microwave, Computer Science/IT, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Safety, and HVAC; Project Associate – 6 posts in Electronics, Physics, and Atmospheric Science; Project Scientific Assistant – 32 posts in Electronics, Medical Electronics, Physics, Electrical, Chemistry, and Mechanical; Project Technical Assistant – 39 posts in Electronics/Electronics-Mechanic, Fitter, Electrician, Electroplater, Turner, and Machinist trades. The number of posts is indicative and may change based on project requirements.

Eligibility criteria vary depending on the post. Candidates for Project Engineer and Project Associate positions must possess a B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, or M.Sc degree in relevant streams, while Project Scientific Assistants require a diploma or B.Sc., and Project Technical Assistants require ITI certification in relevant trades. A minimum of 55% marks is required in all cases. Age limits range from 25 to 30 years as per post requirements, with relaxations applicable as per Government of India norms.

Selection will be conducted through a multi-stage process including a screening test, document verification, and personal interview. The proposed date for the online test is 1 February 2026 , while interview schedules will be announced on SAMEER’s recruitment portal. The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary ranging from Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 34,000 , depending on the post.

Positions are primarily located at Mumbai/Navi Mumbai , but selected candidates may be deployed at any project site in India. Appointments are contractual for two years or the duration of the project , whichever is shorter, and no TA/DA will be provided for tests or interviews.
