In one of the biggest surprises of the year for India's streaming industry, Samay Raina's India's Got Latent 2 has emerged as the most-watched OTT title of 2026 , proving that digital audiences are embracing reality comedy as strongly as blockbuster films. According to the latest Ormax StreamView rankings, the show has recorded an estimated 38.5 million viewers , putting it ahead of several high-profile releases and setting a new benchmark for OTT entertainment in India.

The achievement is particularly remarkable because the show's second season premiered only last month. Despite arriving much later than many of its competitors, it raced past major theatrical releases that had already enjoyed long runs on streaming platforms, highlighting the growing popularity of Samay Raina's brand of comedy and audience engagement.

Among the biggest titles left behind is Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar , which secured the fourth position with an estimated 35.2 million viewers after a successful theatrical run followed by its OTT release. Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge , also made a strong impact, ranking sixth with 27.8 million viewers , reflecting the franchise's continued popularity among streaming audiences.

The rankings also underline a broader shift in viewing habits. While blockbuster films continue to attract large audiences, reality and comedy-based content are increasingly dominating digital platforms. The success of India's Got Latent 2 demonstrates that engaging, personality-driven entertainment can compete with, and even outperform, big-budget productions.

The figures are based on Ormax StreamView's nationwide research, which estimates unique viewers who watched a title for at least 30 minutes across OTT platforms in India. The methodology counts each viewer only once and includes all dubbed language versions, offering a comprehensive picture of audience preferences during the first half of 2026.

With 38.5 million viewers already on board, Samay Raina's latest outing has not only become the year's biggest streaming success but has also reaffirmed the growing influence of creator-led entertainment in India's rapidly evolving OTT landscape.
