Salim Khan Admitted to Mumbai Hospital ICU, Salman Khan Spotted at Lilavati

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan , famed for penning some of Hindi cinema’s most iconic films, has been admitted to the ICU of Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday, an insider said.

Khan, who co-wrote legendary films such as Sholay , Deewar , and Zanjeer with Javed Akhtar in the 1970s, celebrated his 90th birthday in November last year. He remains one of the most influential figures in the history of Hindi cinema, with a career spanning decades and generations of filmmakers and actors.

“He (Salim Khan) has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital this morning. He is currently in the ICU,” the insider said, without providing details on his specific health condition.

His son, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan , was seen outside the hospital premises, drawing attention from media and fans alike. Several fans and well-wishers have since taken to social media to convey their prayers and good wishes for the veteran writer’s speedy recovery.

Salim Khan’s contribution to Hindi cinema, particularly the golden era of the 1970s and 1980s, is widely recognised, with films like Sholay and Deewar often cited as benchmarks for storytelling and screenplay in Indian cinema.

The hospital authorities have not released any official statement regarding his health. Fans of Salim Khan and the film fraternity continue to hope for his quick recovery.
