Salesforce taps into Vibe-coding and agentforce vibes

Salesforce has launched its latest AI-powered developer tool, Agentforce Vibes, marking the company’s official entry into the growing “vibe-coding” movement where developers describe what they want in natural language and AI agents write the code. The tool aims to help enterprises build, deploy, and manage Salesforce applications faster by automating much of the technical implementation.

Announced on Wednesday, Agentforce Vibes includes an autonomous AI coding agent named Vibe Codey , designed to connect directly to a company’s existing Salesforce account. This integration enables the agent to reuse previously written code and follow established coding standards to generate applications consistent with existing products. According to Salesforce’s vice president of product for developer services, Dan Fernandez, the new tool reduces setup time and complexity by offering prebuilt development environments, governance controls, and model context protocols allowing teams to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure. Built on a fork of open-source AI coding agent Cline’s Visual Studio code extension, Agentforce vibes leverages both OpenAI’s GPT-5 and Salesforce’s Qwen 3.0 models for code generation and observability. The tool is currently available for free to existing Salesforce users, with pricing models expected in the future.

The release has drawn attention across the enterprise software community. Analysts note that Salesforce’s move into vibe coding could accelerate adoption of AI-assisted development within large organizations, offering the speed of generative AI while maintaining enterprise-grade security and compliance.
