Sainik school admissions 2026: Apply now

The Sainik School Society (SSS) has announced that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE-2026) for admission to Class VI and Class IX in Sainik Schools and New Sainik Schools across India for the academic session 2026–27.

As per the official notification, the online application process will begin on October 10, 2025, and continue till October 30, 2025 (up to 5:00 PM). The examination fee has been fixed at ₹850 for General, OBC (NCL), Defence, and Ex-servicemen categories, and ₹700 for SC/ST candidates. The last date for successful fee payment is October 31, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM). Applicants will be able to edit their details during the correction window from November 2 to November 4, 2025.

The AISSEE-2026 will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode (OMR-based). The Class VI examination will be of 150 minutes duration and available in 13 languages, while the Class IX paper will be held in English medium and run for 180 minutes. The entrance test is scheduled for January 2026, and the results are expected within four to six weeks after the exam.
