Sai Pallavi & Junaid film gets new title
A much-anticipated film featuring popular actress Sai Pallavi and Bollywood star Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan, has a new title. The film, previously known as 'Ek Din,' has been officially renamed 'Mere Raho.' This romantic drama, directed by Sunil Pandey, is now slated for a theatrical release on December 12 of this year.
This project has garnered significant attention not just for its fresh lead pairing but also for its powerful production team. Aamir Khan himself is producing the film, a venture that reunites him with renowned Bollywood producer Mansoor Khan. This collaboration is especially noteworthy as it marks their first joint production in 17 years. The duo previously worked together on the hugely successful 2008 film 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na.' The return of this hit-making pair has substantially raised the stakes and expectations for 'Mere Raho.'
The film is set to be a significant moment for both lead actors. For Sai Pallavi, who has a strong fan base in the South Indian film industry, it marks her much-awaited Bollywood debut. For Junaid Khan, this will be his second theatrical release, following a more subdued response to his first film. The film is reportedly set against the beautiful winter scenery of Japan, with major portions filmed at the Sapporo Snow Festival. The change in the title and release date to December from the originally planned November 7 release also avoids a potential box office clash with other major films. The new title and release date have been officially announced, ending months of speculation and building anticipation for a unique love story.
