Sai Durgha Tej Announces 'SDT19' With 'Save The Tigers' Director Teja Kakumanu

Actor Sai Durgha Tej has announced his next film, tentatively titled 'SDT19', on his birthday, bringing together director Teja Kakumanu and producer Anil Sunkara for a new Telugu cinema venture. Backed by AK Entertainments, the project is expected to begin regular shooting in October 2026, with further details about the cast and technical crew awaited.

Teja Kakumanu, who gained recognition for his acting roles in films such as 'Baahubali', will make his feature film directorial debut with the project. He previously earned attention for directing the popular web series 'Save The Tigers', including its subsequent seasons.

According to reports, Teja has developed a distinctive story specifically for Sai Durgha Tej, aiming to showcase a different side of the actor's screen presence. Sai Durgha Tej reportedly liked the subject and his character before agreeing to join the project. The makers have yet to reveal the film's storyline, genre or other major details.

Producer Anil Sunkara is planning to mount the film on a grand scale under the AK Entertainments banner, which has backed commercial entertainers as well as content-driven productions. The production team is preparing to move forward, while announcements regarding the remaining cast, music director and other technicians are expected in the coming days.

Meanwhile, an unconfirmed report has suggested that the film could be titled 'Paruveta' and explore a period-based cultural backdrop with action elements. The title and storyline have not been officially confirmed by the makers and should therefore be treated as speculation.

Sai Durgha Tej is also awaiting the release of 'Sambarala Yeti Gattu', another major project that has generated interest among his fans. With 'SDT19', the actor will collaborate with Teja Kakumanu for the first time as the filmmaker transitions from web series to feature films.

The upcoming project's official title, complete cast, music director and release date are yet to be announced.
