Sachin Yadav Set For Diamond League Debut In Rome Golden Gala On June 4

India’s javelin thrower Sachin Yadav (26) is set for a major career milestone as he makes his Diamond League debut at the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea in Rome on June 4 , marking his entry into one of the sport’s top global circuits.

Sachin, who has steadily risen through the ranks of Indian athletics, comes into the event after competing in several key tournaments over the past two seasons. His most significant breakthrough came at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo , where he produced a personal best of 86.27m and finished a strong fourth , narrowly missing out on a medal.

Before that, he has been active in domestic and international-level competitions, including his 2026 season opener at the Indian Athletics Series 3 in New Delhi , where he secured second place with a throw of 81.95m , showing consistent early-season form.
