Rybakina reigns again, clinches second Porsche Tennis Grand Prix title
Elena Rybakina once again stamped her authority on clay in Stuttgart, delivering a composed and clinical performance to defeat Karolina Muchova 7-5, 6-1 and lift the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix title for the second time.
In a final that began as a tight contest but gradually tilted in her favour, the 26 year old former Wimbledon champion showed her growing maturity on the surface and her ability to rise in big moments . This victory also marks her second title at Stuttgart , making her a rare repeat winner at the prestigious event.
The opening set saw both players holding their ground with intensity, but Rybakina’s powerful baseline game and sharp serving made the difference at crucial junctures. She converted four out of eight break point chances , underlining her efficiency when opportunities came her way. After edging the first set 7-5 , she shifted gears completely in the second.
Muchova, who had been in strong form coming into the final after winning the Qatar title earlier in the season, struggled to maintain her rhythm as Rybakina dominated proceedings. The Kazakh star raced through the second set 6-1 , wrapping up the match in just 1 hour and 18 minutes .
For Muchova, this was her second final of the year , but she could not add a third career title despite flashes of resistance in the early stages.
With this win, Rybakina continues to strengthen her position among the elite on the tour , adding another significant trophy to her growing list of achievements and reinforcing her reputation as one of the most dangerous players on the circuit when in form.
