Rural UP voices strong in Samarth 2047 drive
The Uttar Pradesh government’s flagship initiative, ‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh Viksit Uttar Pradesh @2047’, has received an overwhelming 88,000 responses from rural areas, reflecting strong public engagement in shaping the state’s future development roadmap. Launched as part of the vision to align with India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, the programme focuses on gathering suggestions and feedback from citizens across villages to ensure inclusive growth.
Officials stated that the initiative emphasizes participatory governance, where people’s inputs are being considered in areas such as agriculture, education, healthcare, employment, and infrastructure. The large number of rural responses highlights the eagerness of villagers to contribute to policy-making, ensuring that local challenges and aspirations are addressed in the long-term strategy.
The programme also leverages digital platforms and community meetings to encourage maximum participation, especially among youth, women, and farmers. Experts believe this inclusive approach will not only strengthen grassroots democracy but also help bridge the urban-rural divide in development planning.
With 88,000 suggestions already received and more expected, the government is preparing to analyze the feedback and integrate practical solutions into its policies. This marks a significant step towards building a prosperous and future-ready Uttar Pradesh by 2047.
