R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that rural development remains the top priority of the state government. He was speaking after inaugurating a newly constructed road between Valigonda and Katepalli, built at a cost of ₹49.50 crore.

Earlier in the day, Congress party foundation day celebrations were held at Rajiv Gandhi Chowrasta in Valigonda mandal headquarters. On this occasion, the minister hoisted the party flag and paid tribute to the party’s history and values along with leaders and party workers.

Addressing the gathering, Komatireddy said that the Congress party has played a key role in strengthening democracy and guiding the nation’s development. He called upon party workers to take the party’s ideology and principles to the people and work towards further strengthening the organisation. He added that the present Congress government in Telangana is committed to public welfare while continuing the ideals of great leaders.

Later, the minister inaugurated the Valigonda-Katepalli road constructed under the R&B department. He said the new road would significantly improve transport facilities in the region and make travel easier for people, especially those living in rural areas. The project is expected to support social and economic development by improving connectivity.

The minister reiterated that strengthening basic infrastructure such as quality roads is essential for rural progress. He said the Telangana government is working continuously with a clear focus on integrated development, adding that true state progress is possible only when every village develops.

MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLA Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy, local public representatives, officials, party leaders, workers and residents participated in the programme.
