Run to serve the nation - India mobilises youth across the globe

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS), in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), is set to organise the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 across more than 150 locations in 91 countries as part of Seva Pakhwada (17 September – 2 October). With the tagline “Run to Serve the Nation,” this unprecedented global initiative aims to inspire youth, diaspora communities, and local populations worldwide to participate in nation-building, volunteerism, and cultural exchange, while celebrating India’s rich heritage.

The 3–5 km community runs will be held in iconic locations worldwide, with the majority of events scheduled for 28 September 2025. Participants will take the Viksit Bharat Pledge and Aatmanirbhar Bharat Pledge, join the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” plantation drive, and connect with the MY Bharat portal for volunteering and youth initiatives.
