Run Row Turns Ruthless: Young Man Brutally Killed During Cricket Match

A local cricket match in the outskirts of Visakhapatnam ended in tragedy after a minor disagreement on the field escalated into a brutal killing. A dispute over a single run spiraled into violence , claiming the life of Ajith (23) and leaving the community in shock.

Police said the incident took place during a match between two neighborhood teams on Sunday. Ajith (23) , the batsman, became involved in a heated argument with rival players over a run. Umpire Chiranjeevi intervened promptly and managed to settle the dispute, allowing the game to continue.

Despite the temporary calm, tensions lingered. Kishore (26) , one of the opposing players, reportedly took the earlier confrontation personally. Later in the evening, he confronted Ajith (23) and Chiranjeevi again, reigniting the dispute. Efforts by locals to pacify the situation failed as tempers flared.

The argument soon turned violent, with Kishore (26) allegedly launching a knife attack on Ajith (23) . He sustained a severe stab injury to the chest and collapsed at the scene. Chiranjeevi , who attempted to stop the assault, was also injured in the process.

Ajith (23) was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but he died while receiving treatment . Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family, police have registered a case and initiated a manhunt for Kishore (26) , who is said to be a photographer and is currently on the run.
