RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat to Address Gen Z at IIMUN's 15th Anniversary Conference

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will interact with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai on August 6, as part of the 15th anniversary celebrations of the India's International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN).

The interaction will inaugurate IIMUN's Annual Championship Conference, bringing together more than 2,000 students, aged 15 to 19 years, from over 100 cities across India. The conference is designed to encourage discussions on local, national and international issues, with participants representing schools and colleges from across the country.

This year's inaugural session is built around the theme, "The Role of Youth in Uniting the World, the Indian Way," reflecting the organisers' focus on youth leadership, civic engagement and nation-building. According to IIMUN, the event aims to create a meaningful dialogue between experienced leaders and the younger generation at a time when India's role on the global stage continues to expand.

Rishabh Shah, Founder of IIMUN, said leadership is not only about guiding the next generation but also about listening to it. He thanked Mohan Bhagwat for accepting the invitation, stating that such interaction is essential at this important phase in India's journey.

Founded in 2011, IIMUN is a youth-led public affairs platform that promotes leadership, civic awareness and the idea of Bharat through debates, conferences and community initiatives. Every year, it organises 108 conferences and thousands of civic engagement programmes led by volunteers aged 15 to 24 years.

The organisation's Advisory Board includes prominent personalities such as Ajay Piramal, Deepak Parekh, Nadir Godrej, Shashi Tharoor, Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Karan Johar and P.T. Usha, besides former chiefs of the armed forces.

Now in its 15th year, IIMUN says its programmes span 275 cities in India and 40 countries, reaching over 7.5 crore young people through partnerships with more than 1.5 lakh schools and colleges. The organisers said the interaction with Mohan Bhagwat is intended to inspire young participants while fostering dialogue on leadership, civic responsibility and India's vision of global unity.
